The patient.

Yes. You are fine. Your smoking is fine. The food you have been eating all these days is fine. Your sleep habits are fine.

The only thing that will ruin your body is the medicine that you will need to treat your disease.

And the doctor who woke up to just ruin your life.

Nice thinking.
-----------------

You walk into my OPD and ask me about what this drug will do to you. I tell you in return that it won't do anything worse that what you have already done to your body.

Then you ask me how you can have a disease?
I tell you that I don't know if the question is rhetoric, philosophical or out of anxiety.

You tell me that it is not possible for you to have the disease and leave the OPD.

You are admitted in my ICU a few weeks later with a blood sugar of 800 mg%

---------

I tell you that you need to change your posture and wear proper footwear to reduce your back pain. You might need a flat mattress and a chair with a back support. You will also need to think of weight loss but not too fast and not in a stupid way.

You ask me one question in return

" Just give me a drug which will take care of the problem no?"

------------

So if I tell you to take a drug, you don't want to.

And when I tell you to not take drugs, you want to.

What are you?
